MISHMESH
As we approached the process of designing a Sukkah, we had our childhood memories in mind. Light fabrics stretched on a simple wooden structure and decorated with paper chains inside. Lighten at night, those sukkahs have created curiosity and were perceived as an extension of people's homes. Personal items placed inside the Sukkah, have added a special identity to it.

Following the will of creating a local NYC Sukkah, we have stripped off the Sukkah from its traditional walls and have created a structure made out of metal frame and mesh.

This structure designed to collect items by various ways:

A 50 cm width wall with panels enables people to place items on it and inside it, while the other walls and "schach" enables different ways of tying and hanging. Seating rings scattered in the space and outside the Sukkah, forms a place of different usages and activities.

Thus, the Sukkah gets a NY atmosphere and feel and performs as a place of sharing objects, exchanging thoughts and ideas and meeting other people.

It becomes a new local community story.

* We intend to open a 'mishmesh' group on "facebook" and call New Yorkers to participate in this creation.
